Mendelsohn, at the time of her interview working in Bethesda, Maryland, discusses her experiences at Sangamon State University earning a graduate degree in history after graduating from Brooklyn College in New York. Mendelsohn describes SSU professors Cullom Davis and Chris Breiseth, her experience with oral history classes, her assistantship with the oral history office, as well as her experience with campus daycare.
