Sister Mary Corde Lenn attended Sangamon State University taking courses in gerontology from Dr. Jeffrey Chesky, Rosamund Robbert, and Dr. Harry Berman. She earned a Master’s degree in Gerontology in 1994 and later worked as an emergency room nurse in Jackson, Mississippi, as parish nurse at St. Agnes in Springfield, Illinois, and later as Director of Nursing at the mother house for the Dominican Sisters of Springfield, IL.
