Abstract
Gloria Lynne South Snodgrass recounts the history of South's Greenhouse in Springfield, Illinois. Snodgrass's grandparents, Charles and Hazel South, founded the business in 1922 and their family operated it until 1991. Snodgrass describes the operations of the greenhouse as a family business, its associated evergreen business, flower shows, regular customers, memorable employees, making Christmas wreaths, family members, and the closing of the business.
