Abstract
The iCub is a humanoid robot for the research of cognition. The vision system is one of the most important components of the iCub robot. It provides crucial information pertaining to the surroundings for the rest of its artificial intelligence systems. The information provided can help the robot to recognize an object or serve as feedback to its actions. The iCub robot uses the YARP robotic platform to act as intermediary middleware for its systems. The variety of vision tasks can be implemented using this framework.
