Abstract
This paper explores the use of microplasm devices as a bandage application for psoriasis. It begins with the research and background of psoriasis and current methods of treatment. The paper than goes into the original fabrication of microplasma devices and moves into the present fabrication, which is a new design of a silicon wafer stamped onto a sheet of aluminum with RTV and then bonded with a flattened nickel mesh sheet also with RTV. Finally, the results of the tests of the devices are presented along with summaries as to why these microplasma devices are a suitable substitution for current psoriasis treatments as a bandage application. It is the wavelengths that are most important to obtain when using light treatment devices because this is what will cure the skin disease and these specific wavelengths (~311 nm) were reached with the fabricated microplasma devices.
