Abstract
The recent discovery in the eastern part of this country of the European corn-borer (Pyrausta nubilalis Hubner) and the possibility of its spread westward, has caused much alarm among farmers throughout the corn belt. The present publication is intended to give a few of the more important facts concerning this insect and some of the closely related native borers, and to supply a means of distinguishing them.
