Most participants that enroll in a MOOC come for learning and information, not credentials. The goals is ‘pure education’ and the instructional design needs to consider the variations and provide space for those that come for the pure knowledge and leave, and also those that want to go further either in their education or in their learning.This working document presents an alternative design structure for a MOOC that differs from the design of current traditional credit courses.
