Abstract
"In order to understand the transnational student's experiences and identities across different educational settings, we conducted a 40-minute interview with one undergraduate international student and made a 5-minute podcast using the interview. Our audio research project and podcast provides interesting snap shots of one transnational student's own experience and his own understanding of being a transnational student by capturing how the transnational student perceives himself and others in both Korea and the United States, and how he claims his position in the United States. It also demonstrates how the transnational student, using one of the most widely celebrated notions ""diversity"" throughout the interview, differently claim his legitimacy and transnational being in the United States."
This collection examines the influence of globalization on the university and the university's place in a burgeoning world market for higher education.
