A native Oregonian, Richard Mohr did his doctoral work at the University of Toronto (1972-1977) before accepting a job offer from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1978. Now a professor Emeritus of Philosophy and Classics, Dr. Mohr wrote extensively for the past 30+ years on gay rights. Here, he talks about his experiences as an openly gay academic and activist. Some of his essays can be found online here: http://www.qrd.org/qrd/www/media/print/richard.mohr/
