Abstract
Curt McKay went to college in Rockford and taught there before going to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to do graduate work in Library and Information Sciences in 1988. He went on to serve the school in various capacities including Assistant Dean of the library school and Director of the LGBT Resource Center. In this oral history he recalls different events and discusses more generally LGBT history on campus during his time there. He provides the enlightening perspective of someone actively involved on campus.

In particular, these student projects examine experiences of diversity on campus, including important contemporary social, cultural, and political debates on equity and access to university resources.
