Abstract

With the explosion in the quantity of digital information generated and collected in the process of pursuing scientific research activities, storage capacity requirements are rapidly increasing. Like XSEDE computational platforms, XSEDE storage resources are expensive and limited resources and must be allocated via a fair, peer-review process that meets the needs of a diverse open science community. An XSEDE allocation should now provide access to storage in addition to computing, visualization, and extended support resources at XSEDE service provider (SP) sites.
