Abstract
"The author will describe and explore the issues related to the integration of
""traditional"" library services and networked information in a corporate library
setting. The case study of Apple Library's staff and their users will be used
to illustrate a number of specific integration issues, such as user expectation,
staff training and workload, changing job roles, content development, security,
and the growing complexity of user access. The integration of CD-ROM via
local area network access versus Internet-based resources will be discussed.
Specific applications and prototypes for networked access to information
resources that are under development or in use will be demonstrated."
