Abstract
Do you think that students, faculty, and staff on campus agree or disagree to have Official Prayer Rooms so Muslims can pray and build a new Muslim Cultural Center House? Would Prayer Rooms serve as a worthwhile purpose for the Muslims on campus a place to pray? Could the construction of an official Muslim Cultural Center be established amongst others that exist already on campus? These are a series of questions I discuss to better understand the needs and what else our campus may lack in terms of helping out the Muslim community. Having an official Muslim Cultural Center would give the opportunity for Muslims to engage in more activities and become more unified. I asked the opinions of Muslims and Non-Muslims about their views regarding the Prayer Rooms devoted to Muslims and their views on the possible construction of a Muslim Cultural Center. In addition, I analyzed if based on the answers, if the Prayers Rooms and Muslim Cultural Center brought more knowledge and awareness of Islam to everyone. How did this impact those who support it and those who are opposed to it? I also looked at those who oppose the establishment of a Muslim Cultural Center and the Prayer Rooms on campus as well as the reasons to further explain their position. With an increase of Muslims on campus, one must consider how we can welcome them and bring more diversity.
