Abstract
The purpose of this research is to analyze the different reasons for segregation on campus. This varies from the historical institutionalized segregation that has happened at the University of Illinois as well as students choosing to segregate on campus. There will be an analysis on the ways in which institutional segregation and self segregation intertwine and the reason why this occurs.
This collection examines ways in which the U.S. university and the American college experience are affected by diversity, and difference. In particular, these student projects examine experiences of diversity on campus, including important contemporary social, cultural, and political debates on equity and access to university resources.
