"The purpose of this research was to explore the life of Professor Alyce Cheska and her contributions to kinesiology and to the ""anthropology of play"" sub-discipline. We interviewed Alyce Cheska. This included producing an audio recording of the interviews. At the interview, Cheska told us about her life growing up, how she became interested in anthropology and physical education, and why she decided to organize the Association for the Anthropological Study of Play."
