Abstract
This case study focuses on lessons learned during the Data Conservancy (DC) architecture and infrastructure development in its initial phases from 2009-2011. This study explores how the Infrastructure Research and Development team functioned, what the architecture underlying the DC infrastructure was, what compelling issues presented themselves during the project, and how those issues were resolved in terms of the context and reasoning of decisions made in the initial phases of the DC infrastructure development.
