Abstract
Do religious views and culture affect second generation Muslims’ views on dating? Second generation Muslims have to find a sort of balance to practice their religion and culture, but at the same time also try to fit into the America way of life. Despite the assimilation of American culture, I argue that culture and religion are still a significant part of these second generation Muslims and therefore, something they value and take into account when dating.

Introduction to the study of Muslims in the United States and broadly the history of Islam in the Americas. The university offers an extraordinary opportunity to study and document student communities, life, and culture. This collection includes research on the activities, clubs, and durable social networks that comprise sometimes the greater portion of the university experience for students.
