Abstract
9Be , llB, 25Mg and 27Al targets have been bombarded with the
He beam from the University of Illinois cyclotron. The angular distributions
for the (3He ,t) charge exchange reaction have been obtained for
9Be at 20.2, 22.1, 24.9 and 27.8 MeV; for 11B at 20.2, 22.1, and 24.9 MeV;
and for' 25 Mg and 27 Al at 20.2 and 24.9 MeV. The data were analyzed using
distorted-wave Born approximation with both a phenomenological and microscopic
form factor. A generalized collective excitation model is introduced.
The data suggests the need of a second order reaction mechanism.
