Abstract
We present here a new theory of non-leptonic weak interactions
based on neutral F-spin currents of the SU, current algebra.
Both CP conserving and CP violating non-leptonic processes are
generated by the same primary interaction. This interaction is
used to calculate the s-wave amplitudes of hyperon non-leptonic
decays, the K1 -> 2pi decay rate and the decay rate of the CP
violating process K2 -> 2pi. The neutron electric dipole moment,
which depends on the violation of space-reflection invariance and
of time-reversal invariance, is also calculated.
It is found that in this theory the selection rule Delta S [not equal] +/- 2
has as a consequence the Gell-Mann-Okubo mass formulas and the
FID ratios for both the axial vector current and the mesonbaryon
strong interactions.
