Abstract
We have measured the EPR spectrums and the spin-lattice relaxation rates of trivalent Ytterbium and Erbium in the cubic host lattice Cs2NaYC16 at a microwave frequency of 16.5 GHz and between the temperatures 1.5 and 12 K in order to test several models of the orbit-lattice interaction. We have found that none of the models considered were able to account for all of the experimental data.
