Abstract
In the broad band neutral beam at Fermi1ab, a search for photoproduction of charmed D mesons has been done using photons of 100 to 300 GeV. The reaction considered was
[equation]
s No statistically significant evidence for D production is observed based on the Ksnpi± mass spectrum. The sensitivity of the search is commensurate with theoretical estimates of sigma(yp -> DD + X)~500 nb, however this is dependent on branching ratios and photoproduction models. An appendix contains data on a similar search for semi1eptonic
decays of charmed baryons.
