Description
Title
Computing methods in Hamiltonian lattice gauge theory
This thesis reports the development of some methods intended to facilitate higher-order perturbative (strong-coupling) calculations in the Hamiltonian form of lattice quantum chromodynamics. In particular, a simple site-by-site formula is given for the reduction of the direct product of a string configuration with a string-creating operator, and a description is given of a package of FORTRAN subprograms which implements the most tedious aspects of arithmetic and bookkeeping in the Hamiltonian perturbation theory.
