Abstract
Amplitude analyses of the $D\sp{+}$, $D\sbsp{s}{+}\ \to\ K\sp{+}K\sp{-}\pi\sp{+}$ and $D\sp{+}$, $D\sbsp{s}{+}\ \to\ \pi\sp{+}\pi\sp{+}\pi\sp{-}$ Dalitz plots are presented using data collected by the Fermilab high energy photoproduction experiment E687. Our data are fit to a model consisting of a sum of constant and Breit-Wigner amplitudes for the intermediate three-body nonresonant and two-body resonant decay modes. We extract decay fractions and relative phases. These results are used to infer new branching ratios for the $D\sp{+}\ \to\ \phi\pi\sp{+}$ and $D\sp{+}\ \to\ \overline{K}\sp*$(892)$\sp{0}K\sp{+}$ channels.
