This project investigates the different methods of evangelism used at ISU, what religious groups hope to accomplish by employing these methods, and whether these groups look for specific qualities in their members. On the basis of interviews, the study finds that the main method of evangelism is word of mouth to get people attend meetings. Flyers are also used but far less successfully. People bring in their friends, often from their dorms.
The university offers an extraordinary opportunity to study and document student communities, life, and culture. This collection includes research on the activities, clubs, and durable social networks that comprise sometimes the greater portion of the university experience for students.
