Abstract
This study explores the experiences of international students at ISU and how it shapes their view of friendships and the American culture. The student conducted eight interviews with seven international students from South Korea, Japan, Hungary, Bulgaria, Columbia, and India, and with the international advisor at ISU. The program within ISU was established to help the international students get used to American culture with programs such as the 1) International House, 2) Orientation, and 3) Community Friends. This research illuminates how international students experience a completely different cultural environment through their views of friendships and the American culture.
