Abstract
"The purpose of this study was to explore the discrete assessment skills included in the recruitment process for academic librarians, to discover the ways in which assessment skills are represented as requirements for academic librarian positions, and to explore the degree to which prevailing recruiting practices contribute to the establishment of a sustainable ""culture of assessment"" in academic libraries."
