Abstract
"Presented in this report are the results of a study of K+p elastic scattering at incident kaon momenta of 2.53, 2.76, and 3.20 GeV/c. The data were obtained from exposures of the MURA 30"" hydrogen bubble chamber at the Argonne National Laboratory, Illinois.
Differential and total elastic cross sections are given. Characterizing the kaon center-of-mass angular distributions are peaks in both forward and backward directions. The momentum dependence of both the diffraction and backward peaks in K+p elastic scattering is compared with the calculations of Regge pole exchange models. Also presented are some preliminary results of a phase shift analysis at 2.50 GeV/c."
