Abstract
This presentation is the 5th in a series of public lectures given in London, England as part of the Leverhulme Trust Lecture Series on the topic of Learning Networks. The presentation describes the socio-technical/ social informatics approach, and its application to education as educational informatics and e-learning informatics. The talk emphasizes how a social informatics approach reveals parallels in e-learning and ICT implementations, provides useful insight for design perspective, and draws attention to larger, embedding contexts.
