This project explores different student experiences at college. The author seeks to answer the following questions: What kinds of stories did students hear about the college they attended? Were there any outside influences that affected student perceptions about college (such as books, movies, or stories from parents)? Based on individual surveys and interviews of students on campus, this study concludes that the experiences and memories of college come down to what people make of them.
The university offers an extraordinary opportunity to study and document student communities, life, and culture. This collection includes research on the activities, clubs, and durable social networks that comprise sometimes the greater portion of the university experience for students.
