Abstract
A new species of chrysopine lacewing assigned to the genus Chrysopa is described based on a single individual in Early Miocene amber from Chiapas, Mexico. Chrysopa danielleae sp. nov. is the second chrysopine to be formally described from Mexican amber following Chrysopa prominenta to which it bears a strong resemblance but differs in a number of notable characters in the venation of both the fore- and hind wings.
