These data show the activity of users by role classification on high-performance computing resources allocated via the Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment 2.0 (XSEDE2) project period, 2016-2022. In addition to the numbers of each user type, usaga, and jobs, the data also show the number of days of activity by each role classification. One "day active" is one individual with reported usage on that date. For undergraduate and graduate students, anonymized data show the jobs, usage, and days active for each student. From this we calculate several summary metrics including the average and median number of days active for students during the XSEDE2 period.
