The adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) is believed to be a viable path to reducing the transportation sector's carbon footprint. There are many incentives at the state and national levels that can spur the adoption of EVs. In addition, the adoption of EVs by an individual household typically influences their neighbors to adopt more EVs. Such diffusion patterns of adoption have been studied for many technologies, including photovoltaic (PV) panels. This project studies co-adoption patterns between PV and EV uptakes. First, we gather data on said uptakes from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and The Atlas EV Hub for correlation studies. Then, we simulate a parametric diffusion model for co-adoption.
