Abstract
Asusceptibility model for straight PCB traces was investigated for prediction of line voltages from an E-1 nuclear electromagnetic pulse. Analytic models for PCB trace susceptibility are compared with lumped models and finiteelement simulations using EM simulation software to verify accuracy, and time-domain simulations were performed to obtain transient induced voltages. Measurements on a fabricated PCB were also performed to compare with simulations and analytic solutions.
