Sustainable development is considered a crucial path for the future, compassing economic, social, and environmental in order to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability for the future. However, since sustainable development is surrounded in controversy as a complex and evolving field with diverging perspectives, contradictory evidence, and continual discourse. This project aims to explore the controversies within sustainable development. Specifically, I intend to create a dataset of related evidence relevant to one specific controversy and deposit the dataset in the Illinois Databank for future research related to sustainable development.
