Abstract
The city of Belvidere's housing stock is predominantly single-family detached homes with the majority of homes being built before 1939 or between 2000 and 2004. There has been a lack of new housing construction in recent years. This report discusses the need to create and implement policies that would help to diversify the housing stock through rezoning, reducing housing costs, and increasing the population in Belvidere to help the economy prosper.
