Abstract
This study identifies accessibility violations of digital map collections based on Web Content Accessibility Guideline (WCAG) 2.1. Investigating these violations is critical to support people with disabilities who depend on assistive technologies. To assess the violations, nine universities’ digital map collections were analyzed using three accessibility testing tools. Among the four principles of WCAG 2.1, the most frequently identified violations within the digital map collections were associated with Operable and Perceivable principles. This research highlights the unique accessibility violations of digital map collections and provides guidance for future improvement.
