The Illinois Farm to Food Bank program began in 2021 with funding from the USDA Farm to Food Bank grant. After focusing on research in 2021 and pilot projects in 2022, the Farm to Food Bank program built on successes from previous years by working with farmers, farmers markets, and a produce auction supplying local, fresh foods to all eight Feeding Illinois food banks and their network of thousands of food pantries. To review the process of each pilot project, please review the series of 2022 case studies.
