Abstract

Pairing a researcher with a high performance computing resource is a function of a research facilitator. Research computing demands are projected to increase, increasing the need for research facilitation. An interest exists in successfully automating some of the labor of pairing a researcher with a resource in the Advanced Cyberinfrastructure Coordination Ecosystem: Services & Support project, an NSF national cyberinfrastructure coordination and support project. An initial resource selection tool was implemented within Indiana University and ACCESS’s instance of the IvyQuantum™ chatbot, referred to as the ACCESS Resource Pathfinder in this document. Further development and extension of the project are discussed.
