Abstract

This handout was developed to introduce parents to Toy Talk, an innovative language modeling strategy designed to increase the frequency and diversity of noun subjects in adult input to young children. The second version of this handout has been updated to summarize findings from research studies that used toy talk. The parent handout has also been adapted for use with Spanish-speaking families.
