Abstract
The Adoption of low-code/no-code (LCNC) tools that enable users to perform a range of traditionally computationally complex tasks with little ex- pertise has grown in recent years. Despite the uptick in their popularity, little re- search has attended to these tools’ relationship to labor, particularly in creative industries. Study of LCNC tools has the potential to reveal critical intersections between work, information technology, and broader sociotechnical context in in- formation studies. With this in mind, we investigate how LCNC and traditional design tools are invoked in job design for creative roles.
