This brochure describes a program of the Illinois Natural History Survey to mass rear and release Gallerucella beetles to control purple loosestrife in the state. Releases took place state wide during the mid-1990s, and purple loosestrife prevalence was greatly reduced. Publication date is an estimate based on information in the text.
