Abstract
During our surveys, we recorded 9 amphibian and 17 reptile species. We encountered 1,084 individual amphibians and 315 individual reptiles, the most common species being the American
Bullfrog, Painted Turtle, Eastern Gray Treefrog, and Boreal Chorus Frog, all of which have broad distributions in Illinois. Overall, the region has high species richness and diversity but abundance of reptile species is low.
