Abstract
We conducted perhaps the first comprehensive investigation of rail transportation effects on the population ecology of breeding bird communities in North America in a study of the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern (EJ&E) Railway corridor, owned by the Canadian National Railroad, in suburban Chicago.
