Abstract
We used 6 years (2007–2012) of presence-absence surveys based on mink sign such as tracks and scats as well as radio-tracking of 34 mink to evaluate features of streams and the surrounding
landscape that influenced habitat selection. We also examined movements and home range sizes of stream-dwelling mink, survival rates and mortality factors, diets, and prevalence of a parasite, Toxoplasma gondii. Our study included 60–90 survey sites per year in Champaign, Piatt, Douglas, Edgar, Vermilion, and McLean Counties.
