Abstract
Experiments by Bellrose approximately 25 years ago indicated that small lead particles were relatively nontox ic to captive mallards. The purpose of the present experiment was to confirm his results and expand the scope of his limited study. Specifically, the main purpose was to determine the effect of particle size on lead poisoning.
