Abstract
The purpose of this report is to examine the geographic position of Louisiana relative to the current boundaries of t he Mississippi and Central Flyways. In order to evaluate this objective as thoroughly as possible several type of data have been analyzed : relative kill and bag composition, fall and winter duck populations based upon censuses; band
data obtained on tapes from the Bureau of Sport Fisheries and Wildlife; reports and publications analyzing band recoveries; data on direction of waterfowl passage from radar surveiIlance at several U.S. Weather Service stations in the central United States.
