Abstract
The AFM (atomic force microscopy) image shows a topographic surface for a two-dimensional DNA tile-based nanostructure self-assembled with synthetic DNA oligonucleotides with programmed sequences. This is a designed DNA nanostructure-based capture probe that harbors a macromolecular “net” (60nm*60nm) whose vertices match the intra- and inter-spatial patterns of the trimeric spike glycoprotein on SARS-CoV-2 virions that can arrange external elements with nanometer-scale accuracy for different applications. Image provided by Yanyu Xiong from Prof. Brian Cunningham's group. Dr. Neha Chauhan from Prof. Xing Wang's group also helped with sample preparation.
