Abstract

Success through Coastal Dreams Orange symbolizes determination while yellow symbolizes optimism, both are characteristics one must hold to be successful. Success does not have to be attached to financial means, the number of diplomas or certificates one has. Success can mean having the courage and motivation to get up in the morning. To this yellow flower, its environment may have influenced its growth, but it was not a death sentence. This vibrant coastal California poppy is a reminder that one does not have to be successful the first time, that it’s okay to fail, but one must continue. In the case of the flower, it was optimistic, danced in the wind, and was determined to succeed… it was determined to live. This flower is proof that you can struggle yet still be beautiful. It’s a gentle reminder to breathe, to pause, to be present. Some of us are so focused on the next goal or achievement but forget to enjoy the journey. Appreciate the unseen, the minute details, the quirks that create and mold your personality, your being, yourself. Become the optimistic and determined individual that the world is eager to meet. Begin to succeed… the world is waiting.
