Abstract
Two ways of interference filtering, namely mixer-first receiver with acoustic filter load and N-path low pass filter (LPF), are presented and verified. The passive mixer-first architecture provides high linearity and reconfigurability. The acoustic load at intermediate frequency ensures good selectivity. Thereceiver operates at 3.5-to-6.2 GHz and achieves IIP3 of >+27 dBm at 1xBW offset with a minimum NF of 9.7 dB in measurement. For the N-path LPF, a mathematical analysis on N-path LPF is given, and a good match between theoretical plots and Cadence simulation is reported.
