Abstract
This paper discusses the Jenny Oscillator structure based on the 1940s synthesizer, the Ondioline,
extensions to that oscillator structure, and how to implement them on the EaganMatrix sound
engine. Multi-fundamental period harmonic decay is achieved using a delay add method built upon
the properties of phase cancellation in periodic waveforms. This same method is discussed in
the context of harmonic manipulation and harmonic selection in the Jenny Oscillator structure.
The paper is intended both for sound designers and musicians interested in using this oscillator
structure and its extensions as well as those interested in understanding the mathematics behind
the extension.
